Showfile & Backup

Manages show file backups. The current database can be saved as .ccdb files that are stored, shared, and restored.

  • Quick Backup — immediately saves a timestamped backup of the current database
  • Backup As — lets you name the backup before saving

Lists all existing backups with name, size, and modification date.

Each row has the following actions:

  • Load — replaces the current database with this showfile. You will be asked to confirm. Save your current work first.
  • Scheduled Load — announces to all connected users that this showfile will be loaded after a countdown, giving them time to finish their work. The load happens automatically when the countdown expires. Optionally overwrites the current backup with the same name before loading.
  • Overwrite — saves the current database under this showfile’s name, replacing it.
  • Download — downloads this showfile as a .ccdb file to your computer for off-device storage or transfer.
  • Delete — permanently removes this backup from the list.

A Scheduled Load banner appears at the top of the page when a load has been queued, showing the filename and a countdown.

  • New Showfile — resets the database to a blank state. All current data (cues, notes, ranges, recordings, settings) is permanently overwritten. Requires confirmation.
  • Export Current Showfile — downloads the active database as a .ccdb file to your computer. Use this to transfer a show to another system or as an off-device backup.
  • Import Showfile Backup — uploads a .ccdb file from your computer and replaces the current database. Use this to restore a backup or load a show prepared on another machine.
  • Database Maintenance — runs internal maintenance tasks to reduce file size and improve performance. Briefly interrupts database access and forces all clients to reload.
  • Show/Hide AutoBackup Files — toggles visibility of automatic system-generated backups in the list.
  • Load Demo Showfile — loads a built-in demo show with sample data. Useful for onboarding new team members or testing the app without real show data.
