Edit Recordings
A management view for all recording entries in the database.
Recording Editor Dialog
Section titled “Recording Editor Dialog”Double-clicking a row opens the recording editor. If the server has access to the video file, it plays in a preview panel beside the edit form.
A human-readable label for this recording. If left empty, the filename is used throughout the app.
A color flag for this recording entry. Use it to mark favorites, problem takes, selects, or any other categorization. Available colors: Red, Pink, Purple, Indigo, Blue, Cyan, Teal, Green, Lime, Yellow, Amber, Orange. Clearable.
Remarks
Section titled “Remarks”Free-text notes about this recording. Use Shift+Enter for a line break. Useful for noting what happened during the take, technical issues, or what the file contains.
Assign one or more tags from the list defined in Admin → Show Setup. Used for filtering in the Review module and this page.
The following fields are read-only, shown for reference only:
- Recorder Type — OBS or HyperDeck
- Recorder Label — the name of the specific device
- Start At / Stop At — wall-clock timestamps when recording started and ended
- Filename / Path — the file location on the recording device or server
Bulk Edit
Section titled “Bulk Edit”Select multiple recordings with checkboxes, then use Manage → Edit Selected. Fields showing “Multiple values” will not be changed unless you set a new value. Any field you do fill in turns orange to indicate it will be applied — and is applied to all selected recordings at once on save.
Toolbar Menu (⋯)
Section titled “Toolbar Menu (⋯)”- Cleanup — bulk-deletes old recordings by date. Default cutoff is 14 days; adjust before confirming. The dialog shows exactly how many entries will be deleted. Does not delete local video files unless “Permanently delete files when removing entries” is enabled in Admin → Recording.
- Remove Missing — checks each recording entry against the server filesystem and removes entries where the video file no longer exists on disk. Use this after manual file cleanup to keep the database in sync.
- Export — exports the full recording list to Excel.
